Surfing the Coast
A chance conversation with my neighbour Norman 'The Skipper' revealed that he had collected a huge portfolio of photographs of the coast of Britain, with an emphasis on how changes have affected the industry and the architecture of the ports, harbours and of the traffic seen at sea and at rest.
This inspired me to create some representative digital paintings showing some of these wonderful glimpses of our changing coastline and reflect on the decline of its industries.
I call the collection "Surfing the Coast." A huge thanks to 'Skipper' for allowing me to use his photographs as a source for the collection.
