Keswick Seasons
This is a set of four digital landscape paintings using original photographs by George Hughes as their source and inspiration. These scenes are all from around the Keswick area.
Autumn shows the trees in the foreground starting to adopt that amber complection only seen this time of year, while the freshness of the snow on the hilltops, the clean sky and millpond water all betray the colder weather starting to creep in.
Spring - and the flowers are in bloom outside the cottage, while the wet road and the grey sky warn of April showers.
Summer - and all the snow is gone and everything is lush and green. The boats are back in the water ready for some trout fishing or just a lazy day messing about, as Rattie puts it so well.
No sooner are we enjoying the warm sunshine then so the winter is back and the snow is falling again covering the land with a cold white blanket.
